Engineering Research Building

The Engineering Research Building forms a bridge, a new southern entrance to the campus is created - dramatic and welcoming, connecting a public plaza at the street level to the university’s main northsouth axis.

It is imagined as a series of opaque east-west walls stretching from south to  north, thus creating an extensive floor plate, filled with natural light. A green vertical patio perforates the central part of the building, providing natural light and ventilation to the inner part of the building as well as light to the public plaza in the ground floor.

We create flexible and modular laboratories, workshops and office space in addition to a generous interaction space, a place for communication and collaboration that leads to innovation.

It forms an iconic gate to the campus from the south, hovering above a new public plaza and facing the Ayalon highway, overlooking the city. It is dynamic yet understated, efficient and modular yet generous and welcoming, a beacon of innovation at the Tel Aviv University campus.
